For students who never applied to college before(Including LCC) will need to follow the steps listed below:
You will need to apply to the college, which you can do here - http://www.lcc.edu/admissions/.
After you have applied to the college, you will need to take your Placement Tests at the Assessment Center. There are 3 tests you will need to take: Reading, Writing, and Math.
Note: Placement tests can be waived under certain circumstances. To see if you qualify for the waiver, visit: http://www.lcc.edu/advising/waivers.apsx.
The next step after placement testing is to sign up for Orientation, in which you will get a tour of the college, meet with Academic Advisors to discuss the first semester plan, and much more. More information can be found here: http://www.lcc.edu/orientaton.
If you want to apply for Financial Aid, you will need to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov. You will then need to check your student account regularly for any additional information that may be required for your Financial Aid. For more information, you can go to the Financial Aid Office here - http://www.lcc.edu/finaid/.
We recommend that students schedule an appointment to meet with an Academic Advisor sometime during the first semester to make sure the student is progressing and is on track for graduating/transferring out.
Be sure to to check on important dates and information for the upcoming semester here - http://www.lcc.edu/schedule.
