Summer Stage Under the Stars

Summer Under The Stars

LCC's annual summer festival offers free performing arts events on campus in June and July. Most take place in the beautiful amphitheatre located on Washington Mall between Dart Auditorium and the Gannon Building, with Dart Auditorium as the rain location. Bring a blanket or lawn chairs, a picnic and the family, and join us for a delightful evening under the stars!

June 25-29, 7 pm       Fools, a comic fable by Neil Simon, directed by Mary Matzke. A   young man lands his first teaching job in a seemingly idyllic Russian hamlet. One  problem: the town has been cursed with Chronic Stupidity for 200 years, and the teacher has only 24 hours to break the curse before he, too, becomes Stupid.

July 9, 7 pm     The LCC Faculty Jazz Quartet, featuring Dennis Therrian, Jon Gewirtz, Ed Fedewa and Mike Daniels, with guest performers from the LCC Music Program.

July 23-27, 7 pm    In a Grove: Four Japanese Ghost Stories, by Eric Coble, directed by Paige Dunckel. A bustling town is now a grove of trees -- what happened to the homes and shops and pathways? Four humorous, wistful and surprising tales explore the supernatural history of a village that disappeared.

July 29-31 , 7 pm   The Community Dance Project, presented by Happendance and LCC Dance featuring three evenings of new choreography (Dart Auditorium).

Dates and events are subject to change.
