Setting up your Citrix account

The old Citrix servers, Corvus and Mensa, will be brought down permanently no later than January 5th at 4pm. These servers may become unavailable before that time.

The following is the brief list of changes you will notice:

The new servers are CIVIC and CHEVELLE.  The following software is available on each system (more may be added later).

CIVIC

    Banner 2000

Office XP (intended for Y drive access to MS Access databases)

CHEVELLE

    Banner 2000

    Banner Front Door

    Access 95

    Access 2000

In order to access the new Citrix servers you will need to set up your connections to Citrix again.  To do that please use the following directions:

Open your Citrix ICA Program Group

  • Click Add ICA Connection
  • Click Next
  • Enter either Civic or Chevelle as the description for your connection
  • Enter  civic.lcc.edu or chevelle.lcc.edu in the server textbox (regardless if you are on or off campus)
  • Click next
  • Uncheck Use Default
  • Select 128 bit encryption from the dropdown list.

****DO NOT select 128 bit encryption for logon only.

  • Click next
  • Accept all other defaults.

You should now be able to logon to Citrix by double clicking the icon for the connection you just made.

Changing your Citrix password

Your Citrix password is synchronized with your network password, which is your Technology User ID (TUID). To change your TUID password, you need to log in to StarPort  to set it. When you change your TUID password, it is synchronized within minutes, and you can start using the new password in Citrix.

See How do I change my network password? for the instructions.

Printing in Citrix

Your client printers are "mapped" when connecting to either new Citrix server.  Before printing, always verify the printer your expect your print job to go to is the one you have selected.
