Networked files (faculty and staff)

Network Files

To access your workspaces files from on campus click the "Fleetwood" icon on your desktop. Navigate to your desired workspace (folder).

If you do not have the "Fleetwood" drive listed on your desktop please follow the steps below to map it.

Map Network Drives

After you have installed and connected to the VPN you will have to map the drives.

To Setup H: (personal work files)

  1. Click the following: Start > Computer > Map network drive
  2. In the Drive box select H:
  3. In the Folder box type \\fleetwood.star.lcc.edu\users\YOUR TUID

  1. Click Finish
  2. If prompted for your TUID and password type your TUID in this format:

star\YOUR TUID, enter your password, and then click OK.

To Setup N: (department/division files)

  1. Click the following: Start > Computer > Map network drive
  2. In the Drive box select N:
  3. In the Folder box type \\fleetwood.star.lcc.edu\workspaces
  4. Click Finish
  5. If prompted for your TUID and password type your TUID in this format:

star\YOUR TUID, enter your password, and then click OK.

To Setup O: (college-wide files)

  1. Click the following: Start > Computer > Map network drive
  2. In the Drive box select O:
  3. In the Folder box type \\fleetwood.star.lcc.edu\lcc-all-public
  4. Click Finish
  5. If prompted for your TUID and password type your TUID in this format:

star\YOUR TUID, enter your password, and then click OK.

Fleetwood Mapping on a Mac

For Mac users:

  1. Go to the Finder by clicking on the icon in the Dock.
  2. Open the "Go" menu at the top of the screen and choose "Connect to Server."
  3. In the "Server Address" field, type in the host name or IP address of the server to which you wish to connect.
    • Option 1: \\fleetwood.star.lcc.edu\users\YOUR TUID
    • Option 2: \\fleetwood.star.lcc.edu\workspaces
    • Option 3: \\fleetwood.star.lcc.edu\lcc-all-public
  4. Click the "Connect" button. Your Mac will now attempt to establish a connection to the specified server.
  5. Enter a valid username and password when prompted for authentication.

The user name format must follow: star\YOUR TUID

You will now be able to access the shared files on the server.

Accessing files from off campus

To access networked files from off campus you will need to be connected to the LCC VPN (virtual private network).  Please click the link for instructions for installing and connecting to the vpn.
