Getting Items Delivered

Current students or employees can have library materials delivered off-campus.

What Can be Requested

You can request books, CD's, DVD's and items you've requested from MeLCat and ILL.

Reference books, periodicals, multimedia equipment and course reserves must be used in the library.

Where Can Items be Delivered?

Items can be delivered to four off-campus locations:

  • The Information Center at West Campus
  • The reception desk at LCC East
  • The reception desk at Livingston County at Parker Campus
  • The reception desk at the Clinton County Center

How to Request - a LCC Library Item

  1. Locate the item in the library catalog.
  2. Click on the "Request" button.
  3. Log in to My Account with your username and password.
  4. Choose a pick-up location from the drop-down list.
  5. Click the "Submit" button

You will receive an email at your LCC email account letting you know your item was sent and when it should arrive.

How to Request - MeLCat and ILL

To request a MeLCat or ILL item be sent to an off-campus location, please call the Library Checkout Desk at 517.483.1626 or send an email to library@lcc.edu and let staff know:

  • Your name.
  • The title of the item.
  • The location you would like the item sent to.

You will receive an email at your LCC email account letting you know your item was sent and when it should arrive.

How Long it Takes

Your request will be processed the next business day after it is placed. 

You will receive an email at your LCC email account letting you know your item was sent and when it should arrive. The courier service can take up to two business days to deliver an item.

Where to Return Items

Please return all borrowed items to the location that you pick them up at or the Checkout Desk in the Library.
