Discover Japanese Language & Culture

Sail into Eastern culture without ever leaving your seat! In this class, you will learn about the art and culture of Japan. Lots of hands-on activities will help you learn about a country that is thousands of years old. You will discover what it is like to live in Japan, and learn how to do origami and calligraphy. By the end of the course, you will impress your friends and family when you are able to speak words and phrases in Japanese!

Science w/Experiments

If you have a young scientist in the house they will want to take this highly hands-on class. Each day we will be exploring science with experiments like making glue from milk (the old fashioned way), building and launching a mini rocket, and making edible gummy drops, just to name a few. We will also have a live animal component each day using Michigan reptiles, amphibians, and insects. They will spend time learning about the animals, helping feed them, and handling some of them. Your young scientist will learn about chemistry, biology, physical and natural science taught at an age appropriate level.

Avast Ye Maities - Pirates

Do you know the real reason a pirate wears an eye patch? It might not be what you think! Separate truth from movie myth with tales of treasure and terror as we talk about pirate legends and pieces of eight. Investigate how pirates survived long months at sea. Students will recreate trade and treasure routes and learn how pirates steered their ships using only compasses, wind and the stars.

3D Dreams & Dragons

Discover the myths and history of Achilles, Hercules, the Trojan Horse, Poseidon, and many more gods and goddesses of the ancient Greek world. Find out the real story of the Olympics from where it all started. We will look at classical Greek sculpture and architecture. On the last day we will feast on real Greek foods at our own "Tunic" party. Find out what made Alexander so Great (Aristotle, of course!).

ZOO Math

Michigan Reptiles & Amphibians
