
Attention Former Military Medics:

Next program start date: August 2013
In January, 2012, Lansing Community College launched an education program specifically designed for military medics. The goal was to create a pathway for military medics to transition to paramedics. Those who complete this program are positioned to continue onward to become a nurse, if desired, by entering into the Advanced Standing Nursing Program.
Paramedics earn a median salary over $32,000, with nurses earning a median salary over $63,000. Paramedic and nursing employment is currently strong, with projected demand for the next decade. Additional employment information and statistics can be found on the Employment Information page.
Students in the program are eligible for GI-bill funds, Military Tuition Assistance (TA) and traditional Title IV financial aid. More
General Program Information
LCC offers a Paramedic Certificate of Achievement (CA) and an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Emergency Medical Services. Those who continue onwards to nursing will earn an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Nursing. More
