Eligibility For Services

Disabilities and Professionals
Services and Accommodations

To be eligible for services and accommodations through ODSS, students are required to provide written verification of their disability.

Office of Disability Support Services (ODSS) will determine appropriate accommodations through the intake interactive interview process.  This will include dialogue with the student in addition to review of functional limitations and the diagnosis provided in the documentation.  ODSS reserves the right to request additional or updated documentation if there is a change in disability or to determine if the current level of functioning supports specific accommodation requests.  All documentation must be on letterhead of the signing professional.

Lansing Community College does not provide diagnostic testing, however, community referral information is available for students.

Documentation of each disability must be provided by the corresponding professional and is not limited to the list on the following table.
