Waitlisting For Classes

Waitlist is here!

Students can now inform a department electronically via the registration process that they are interested in registering for a closed class. The process is Waitlisting.

If you attempt to register for a section that is closed (full to capacity) and there is a Waitlist for that section, you may be eligible to be on a Waitlist.

Waitlisting is available on selected courses only. Being on a waitlist does NOT guarantee registration in the class. In order to be on a waitlist, you must satisfy all course prerequisites and be eligible to register. You can place yourself on a waitlist once the section is closed. Email notifications will be sent to your LCC student email address, if seats are available. Waitlisting will end one week before the semester begins.

If there is no wait list for a course section, you can periodically check the course's enrollment status using Banner Self Service. Seats occasionally become available when students drop the course.

Steps to waitlisting for classes

  1. Put yourself on the waitlist
  2. Check your LCC Email daily for waitlist notification
  3. Register for the course after email notification
Once the email notification has been sent, you must register within the 24 hour deadline or the seat becomes available to the next student on the waitlist.
