Rubbish and Recycling through Physical Plant
Granger provides rubbish removal services for Lansing Community College. Recycling containers are located throughout campus for paper, newsprint, plastic bottles, glass and pop cans. Physical Plant also recycles cardboard, styrofoam and packing peanuts.

The battery buckets are to be taken to Emergency Management & Safety Services in AOF Room 202 and you will be given a new bucket. Please contact us to make sure we are in the office before you come over. If we are not in, just leave a message and we will call you back to arrange a drop off time.

Recycle old textbooks
Old textbooks, encyclopedias and moldy or damaged books are best saved
for a special local or regional collection or directly to Friedland
Industries Inc, 405 E Maple (Blue building on the corner of Center and Maple
in Lansing's Old Town)
517-482-3000. You can drop books from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
Recycle used ink jet and laser printer cartridges
This program is only for cartridges not currently being recycling in
another program.
The process is simple: When changing your cartridge, put the used
cartridge into the box the new one came in or a plastic bag. Then,
process an online work request through StarPort for Receiving & Inventory
for pickup and processing.
Recycle old eye glasses
Old prescription eyeglasses can be recycled through the Lions Club. A receptacle for used eyewear is located just outside of the LCC Parking & ID counter, 2nd floor Gannon Building.
Reuse clothing and other household items
This can be done by donating these items to Volunteers of America. A receptacle is located just outside of International Studies, 2nd floor Gannon Building.
