1. This transfer guide represents an Articulation (partnership) Agreement between
Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) and Lansing Community College (LCC)
facilitating the transfer of 60 semester credits toward the completion of a
Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Photography at SCAD. This guide includes
courses from the LCC Photographic Imaging (0277) program, allowing students
to simultaneously earn an Associate in Applied Science Degree from LCC while
preparing to transfer to SCAD. This articulated agreement does not have a
specified expiration date.
2. Students are subject to the requirements of the SCAD course catalog in effect
at the time of his/her entry and registration at SCAD.
3. Transfer courses require a 2.0 or higher grade. Courses transferring from
LCC may fulfill only one SCAD course requirement. A maximum of 18 courses
may transfer into the SCAD B.F.A. program of study.
4. The Associate in Applied Arts, Photographic Imaging may not bring students
into the BFA in Photography at SCAD with the potential of junior standing.
Students must pass all portfolio reviews and should take additional suggested
coursework if they wish to obtain junior standing at SCAD.
5. This course is subject to portfolio review at SCAD to transfer.
6. This course is required to earn the AAS in Photographic Imaging at LCC. SCAD
encourages LCC students pursuing this articulated major to complete their
associate's degree prior to transfer in order to build their portfolio for
potential scholarship consideration.
7. This course is NOT required to earn an AAS in Photographic Imaging at LCC.
Students may choose either HUMS 211 or 212 to satisfy LCC Core requirements.
8. Students should consult with LCC faculty or an academic advisor for specific
course recommendation.
9. Select 3-4 credits from: ARTS 103, ENGL/WRIT 122/132, or SPCH 130; and 3-4
credits from ECON 120/260, POLS 260/270, or SOCL 120/260.
10. Students seeking an LCC associate degree must fulfill specific graduation
requirements. See the LCC catalog online at http://www.lcc.edu/catalog for
details.
11. This transfer guide requires basic skill levels in mathematics, reading, and
writing. To determine accurate course placement, students should take the
Computerized Placement Tests in the LCC Assessment Center (GB 200) prior to
registration. For testing hours call (517) 267-5500.
