1. This transfer guide represents an Articulation (partnership) Agreement
between Lansing Community College (LCC) and Eastern Michigan University (EMU)
that facilitates the transfer of up to 92 credits from LCC Associate in
Business in Management and Leadership toward the EMU Bachelor of Business
Administration degree. This agreement is effective until 1/01/2015.
2. See the MACRAO Transfer Agreement for appropriate LCC courses. Only courses
in which at least a 2.0 is received will be applied to MACRAO by LCC and
accepted in transfer to EMU. A minimum cumulative GPA of a 2.0 in required
for admission to EMU. Students with a community college GPA of 3.0 or higher
will be admitted directly to the EMU College of Business without a probation-
ary semester. Students whose community college GPA is less than 3.0 may apply
to be conditionally admitted to the College of Business for the first semes-
ter at EMU and will be regularly admitted after successful completion of at
least 12 credits at EMU with a minimum overall EMU GPA of 2.50.
3. In completing this coordinated program of study, course substitutions should
be made with the guidance of the EMU and LCC Program Advisors to assure that
all programs and graduation requirements are satisfied at both institutions.
4. Students whose transcripts are endorsed as "MACRAO Satisfied" will only be
required to meet three EMU general education requirements. The following
requirements may be completed before or after enrollment at EMU:

MACRAO are required to complete the EMU General Education Requirements.
5. Under this agreement, EMU will waive the 60-hour rule and require that a
minimum of 36 credit hours must be completed at the four-year college level,
of which 30 hours must be courses offered by EMU, with 15 hours in program
requirements at the 300-level or above. A minimum of 124 credit hours,
completed in-residence or accepted in transfer, is required for graduation.
6. Students should contact the EMU College of Business Undergraduate Advisor
early, before completing an admissions application to EMU. To facilitate the
evaluation of transfer credits, student should indicate they are using this
articulation agreement on their EMU admission application, and bring a copy
of this guide to all advising sessions. Copies of the articulation guide are
available on EMU's webpage at http://www.emich.edu/ccr/artguide.php. Students
must meet all admission requirements at the time of admission to EMU,
including submitting transcripts from all previously attended colleges.
