NOTES:
1. This transfer guide represents the Articulation (partnership) Agreement
between Lansing Community College (LCC) and Grand Valley State University
(GVSU) which facilitates the transfer of up to 80 credits from LCC toward
the GVSU Bachelor of Science Degree Completion program. This articulated
agreement does not have a specific expiration date.
2. This guide includes courses for the Radiologic Technology (0196)
program, allowing students to simultaneously earn an Associate in Applied
Science Degree at LCC while preparing to transfer to GVSU.
3. This Articulation Agreement is based on an 80/40 semester credit hour model
with 80 of the transferable credits from a community college(s) used toward
the 120 semester credit hours required for the GVSU baccalaureate degree.
a) Of the 120 credits, 58 must be completed at a senior institution with a
minimum of 30 credits completed through GVSU;
b) 18 IDMS (200 level) LCC credits can be counted toward completion of the
58 credit requirement.
4. Pre-Admission Requirements:
a) Satisfy all pre-admission requirements listed in the GVSU catalog for the
student's declared admission year;
b) Submit a completed application packet (completed RIS application form,
official transcripts, and any other GVSU required documents);
c) Meet minimum cumulative grade point average requirement: Completed the
first two semesters of coursework - compiled a 3.0 or higher GPA in the
Radiologic Technology coursework and a 2.7 or higher GPA overall at the
time of application.
d) All LCC degree requirements completed, graduated with an Associate Degree
in Radiologic Technology and hold national registration in radiography
or another radiologic & imaging sciences credential through the American
Registry of Radiologic Technologists prior to matriculation to the GVSU
program;
e) Letter of recommendation from an LCC Radiologic Technology faculty member
must accompany the application.
Once the above criteria have been completed, candidates will receive letters
of admission to the GVSU RIS program.
5. MATH 112 is recommended to meet LCC Core and MACRAO requirements.
6. THEA 110 will meet LCC Communication Core, GVSU Arts, and MACRAO Humanities
requirements.
7. WRIT 121 meets LCC Core, GVSU prerequisites and MACRAO requirements.
8. Select one course from: HUMS 213,214; MUSC 241; PHIL 211,212.
9. Select one course from: HIST 211,212; HUMS 213.
10. Select one course from: ENGL 290; PHIL 152,153,211.
11. Select one course from: ANTH 270; HUMS 125; PHIL 212; POLS 201; or

12. Designated course meets GVSU prerequisites and/or MACRAO requirements.

15. This transfer guide requires basic skill levels in mathematics, reading, and
writing. To determine accurate course placement, students should take the
Computerized Placement Tests in the LCC Assessment Center (GB 200) prior to
