Well another week has gone by and as we edge closer to the end
of the semester things aren’t letting up. It will be nice to have a short break
for Thanksgiving to spend some quality time with friends and family. During the
upcoming holiday break I hope to put some extra time into studying for my Math
112 final. That brings me to that subject again. Math for me has been extremely
challenging. One thing I try to keep in perspective is how it helps me with some
of my other courses as well as how it has, and will be useful in the future. It
isn’t always about the math, or crunching the numbers, it can be more about
critical thinking skills and patience, lot’s and lot’s of patience,
so with that being said we’ll just leave it at that and move on to
other more important issues to deal with in the upcoming weeks.
Being able
to find the quality time needed for family and friends is going to be an
important issue for me during the short break as well as the Christmas break.
One thing is, when I have homework assignments that are due it’s hard for me to
focus on that time with the family. I guess you might say, enjoying that time
with the family. So, with that being said, I sure would like to have all, or
most of my homework assignments done before Turkey day. I can then truly enjoy
the time with my family.
I am
looking forward to going to Grand Valley
State University with the TRiO program on Friday the 21st.
We will also be going to Fredrick Meijer Gardens for a holiday extravaganza. It
should be an enjoyable time as well an opportunity to tour GVSU and get some
good info from them. It will also be a good opportunity to get to know some of
the other TRiO students too.
Here’s
wishing all a happy Thanksgiving!
