You've decided to be a Star. At LCC, we make it easy to apply, register and receive your benefits and financial aid through our step by step process and support services staff.
You can complete the admissions application online at lcc.edu/apply. The system
will guide you through the process but if you have any issues, our staff at Enrollment Services is here to help!
LCC, in recognition of the special needs of active-duty service persons in having access to and completing programs, has been designated as a Service members Opportunity College. We can help you in this crucial step of the process but you can get your start by visiting www.ebenefits.va.gov.
Once you've applied and been accepted, you will need to assess your reading, writing and math skills by taking a placement test. Feel you're already there? Apply for a waiver based on your ACT/SAT scores, advanced placement scores, or previous college courses or degrees. You may also use your Military for Life Experience credits. Veterans or military personnel seeking admission may additionally use ASVAB scores (or in some cases the Joint Services Transcript) to receive reading/writing levels. The Nelson-Denny Reading test is also available as an alternative reading assessment.
Experience LCC. All students are required to complete orientation before signing up for classes. Orientation is free and sessions are offered online as well as in person. Join us! You will learn about the general support services we provide, LCC technology, financial aid, academic advising, register for classes, and take a campus tour!
Veterans Services is located in the Huron Building and they are standing ready to go through your admissions, goals and pathways that you are interested in. Call 517-483-5246 to schedule your appointment.
You can register for classes at orientation, online, through campus kiosks or in the Veterans Resource Room. If you need additional assistance completing your registration, please call us at 517-483-5246.
