FAQs - Web Design
How do I create/edit images?
Images may be created/edited using a variety of programs, however, Photoshop is recommended. Whichever program you decide to use, make certain that it is capable of saving files as a ".gif" or ".jpg". These are the required file types for images used on the LCC website. For line art, ".gif" files are best, and for photographs ".jpg" files are best. Also, remember that the resolution need not exceed 72 dpi (dots per inch). Higher resolutions than this are unnecessary because 72 dpi is the highest resolution available for viewing the Internet. In addition to this, lower resolution files are also of smaller size and will decrease the load time for web pages. Finally, please remember that all images must be authorized by LCC Web Management prior to being posted.
Can I put animations/videos on my website?
Animations/videos may be placed on your website if there is a legitimate need for them. Due to an increasing demand for these, requests are being evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Requests for this will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis by LCC Web Management.
