You Are Welcome Here
LCC's Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI) empowers students with knowledge and experiences that promote global citizenship and a more inclusive campus. We embrace a community that brings together students, faculty and staff of all racial, ethnic, gender, sexual orientation, economic, religious, and national backgrounds.
We live our core values through programs that affirm the importance of diverse perspectives, attitudes, beliefs and experiences. Our activities are designed to:
- Promote an inclusive environment where students, faculty and staff feel safe and supported;
- Provide diversity, equity and inclusion training opportunities for students, employees and our surrounding community;
- Acknowledge diverse perspectives;
- Support recruitment and retention of a diverse population of students and employees; and
- Improve retention and transition for students from underrepresented populations.
Learn more about the Office of Diversity and Inclusion by visiting our program-specific webpages.
Study Tables
ODI also host Study Tables throughout the year. Study Tables offer an opportunity for students to form study groups and invite tutors to join them in a unique learning environment where music is playing and snacks are provided.
Feel free to have your study group meet you in the Cesar Chavez Multicultural Center during the dates and times listed in the calendar of events below.
Student Program Registration
Each program page includes a calendar of meetings for Fall and Spring semesters 2023/2024. LCC students who are interested in joining these programs must complete the Student Registration Form. LCC students can sign up for all programs of interest using the same form.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Collegewide
Lansing Community College occupies the ancestral, traditional and contemporary lands of the Anishnaabeg - Three Fires Confederacy of Ojibwe, Odawa, and Potawatomi peoples. In particular, the City of Lansing and LCC reside on land ceded in the 1819 Treaty of Saginaw.
Commitments to Our LGBTQIA+ Students
To demonstrate our support of LCC students within the LGBTQIA+ community, our staff, faculty, and students have created the LCC Commitments to Our LGBTQIA+ Students. These commitments were created to provide an added sense of belonging, support, and safety to students within this community.
As part of Lansing Community Colleges continuing efforts to provide equity, inclusivity, a sense of belonging, and support for the whole individual we are pleased to announce the opening of a prayer and meditation room.
Lansing Community College is pleased to offer training in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) to ALL LCC employees and students. This DEI training is intended to assist you in learning more about DEI topics and issues as you play an important role in our community efforts.
