International Students

Who is an International Student?

Individuals who are admitted to the United States in a temporary, non-resident status (any type of visa) are considered as international students. Individuals admitted to the United States as refugees, immigrants, or resident aliens (green card) are not considered as international students.

Health and Human Services Programs with Selective Admission

Certain programs have "selective admission," meaning admittance into these curriculums is on a competitive basis, and have program-specific entrance requirements beyond those required for admission to the College.

Awarding $95 million to approximately 15,000 students per year.

Financial aid consists of grants, loans and work-study. To qualify, students must complete and submit the Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA) at fafsa.gov using LCC's school code (002278). Visit lcc.edu/finaid for more information.


Awarding $1.3 million in scholarships to approximately 1,000 students per year.

Assess Your Math and English Skills
  • Once you've applied and have been accepted, you will need to assess your reading, writing, and math skills by taking a placement test. Feel you’re already there? Apply for a waiver based on your SAT/ACT scores, advanced placement courses, or previous degrees. LCC's Act College Code is 2019.

Get Oriented
  • Experience LCC. Students are required to complete orientation before signing up for classes. Orientation is free and you can attend online or in person.
Step 5
Register for Classes
  • You can register at orientation, online in the convenience of your home, or through kiosks at select campus locations. The days, times, and basic information on all of our courses are listed online and through a printed course schedule book.

Transfer Credit

  • Students planning to transfer to LCC should have transcripts sent to LCC from other colleges as soon as you have applied for admission.
  • Visit our Transfer Equivalency webpage for more directions on incoming transcripts.
