Academic advisors help you plan your academic journey at Lansing Community College. Our advisors provide guidance and clarity on program details and help you navigate through your program efficiently, whether you plan to achieve your degree or certificate at LCC, or if you plan to transfer to a four-year university.
Our advisors are available four days a week for full 30 minute advising appointments.
Please make sure to check-in for Drop-In Advising at least 30 minutes prior to the end of the Drop-In Session.
We offer secure Online Chat and eAdvising as options to work with Academic Advisors.
Talk to a Student Engagement Coordinator!
Students planning to attend LCC, whether they have applied or not, have access to Student Engagement Coordinators, who are available to guide you through the admissions process, provide campus tours, and make sure you are ready to get started at LCC. Contact the StarZone to connect with a Student Engagement Coordinator.
Once admitted to LCC, new students are required to attend STARientation, LCC’s version of orientation. At STARientation, students will meet with academic advisors to create their MAP (My Academic Pathway) to plan their LCC experience. Students will receive orientation information after they have applied.
LCC offers chat advising for students who have quick questions regarding their academic plan or who are not able to make it to an in-person meeting.Learn More
