LCC going cashless for tuition and fee payments by fall 2022

In an effort to reduce contact, improve the safety of our students and employees, and increase security over transactions, LCC is converting to a cashless campus for student tuition and fee payments. In fall 2022, the Cashier desk in the Gannon Building will be closed and LCC will no longer accept cash payments on student accounts. Student tuition payments can be made online anytime by logging into myLCC and Touchnet.

Why are we going cashless?

  1. To improve the student experience by removing the need to travel to campus and stand in line to pay a bill.
  2. To reduce security risks in handling cash.
  3. To mitigate campus health and safety considerations.
  4. To streamline campus operations and enhance internal controls.

Student Payments
Student tuition payments can be made online, 24/7, by logging into myLCC and then selecting Touchnet. TouchNet is LCC’s secure online payment vendor, where you can review account balances and payment history, make and schedule payments, or enroll in a payment plan. You may also authorize your parents or others to view account information and make payments on your behalf.

E-Payments – Once logged into your myLCC account and Banner, select the Student Menu and then TouchNet. LCC has partnered with TouchNet to process all electronic payments by debit/credit card. There is no processing fee for making a payment with a card. Students who choose to enroll in a payment plan to help budget their payments out may have additional fees associated with a payment plan.

Payments by Mail – All checks and money orders should be made payable to Lansing Community College, 309 N. Washington Square, Suite 200, Lansing, MI 48933. Payments mailed in should have the student ID number listed on the check to ensure it is applied to the correct student account. Payments are applied as of the date they are received in the Student Finance Office, so please allow enough time for delivery.

Payments Desk – Currently, the StarZone Payments Desk is open 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday for in-person payments. This option will phase out by mid-July 2022 as we transition to a cashless campus. Student Finance is exploring potential alternative options for those students who prefer to make a payment with cash after July 2022.
